Jared had taken Sophi on some errands which left Aleah and I to do some crafts. We did some painting then I decided to go out on a limb and try something new.
I had Aleah draw with crayons on the canvas board and then we shaved some crayon pieces onto the board.
We used a blow dryer to melt the crayons.
It was a bit tricky since the crayon pieces wanted to blow around but we held them down with a fork to keep them in place.
It is now hanging in her room and she is very proud of it.
Very cool! I love it Aleah! And if I could find leopard jammies like that in my size, I would buy them. 🙂
yeah seriously. if only I could look that good in leopard jammies…
Can I buy her next creation? very cool. Maybe using the diffuser on the blow dryer would help, but then again, I would have to find our diffuser that came with it.
good idea Cathy. The kids like to play with my diffuser, who knows why..I think it is in Aleah’s room right now. I would have to steel it back first
I have a heat gun from the old stamping days….that would melt the crayons but I love the starburst effect that they made as they rolled over the canvas. It looks like fireworks! Of course, not Land O’Lakes fireworks…but good ones at that!
